Enjoy a day trip from Port Said to Alexandria, where you can see Roman catacombs cut into the rock, the ruins of a Roman temple complex, and the Citadel of Qaitbay. Itinerary

You will be picked up from Port Said by your Egyptology guide in an air-conditioned vehicle and travel to Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt.

You will then visit the Kom el Shoqafa necropolis (it contains tombs on three levels and also includes a Tri-cilium where relatives used to sit on stone benches for ceremonies for the dead, as well as a center with carvings of bearded snakes. Century AD statues of Sobek and Anubis in Roman shields).

Your next visit will be the most famous library of antiquity, the Library of Alexandria (this library was founded and maintained by a long series of Ptolemies in Egypt since the beginning of the third century BC),

You’ll then have the chance to take a relaxing stroll along the promenade, designed by the Italian-Egyptian architect Pietro Avoscani in 1870.

Qaitbay Citadel (Sultan Qaitbay built this beautiful and direct castle during the fourteenth century to defend Alexandria from the encroachment of the Ottoman Empire), Qaitbay Citadel is strategically located on a thin arm of land that extends to Alexandria port from the Corniche, what distinguishes this castle is that it was built Qaitbay built on this site to take advantage of the existing foundations remaining from the legendary Pharos Lighthouse (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) which had fallen into ruins by the 14th century. Al-Mursi Abu Al-Abbas Mosque (a stunning mosque with a high minaret and four domes, considered the most important and influential Islamic landmark in Alexandria).

Tipping in Egypt

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and is entirely up to the discretion of travelers. Although it is not mandatory, it is of great importance to the people who take care of you while traveling.

Extra Expenses

Extra personal expenses on the trip may include a food tour, alcoholic beverages, tipping, visa fees, recreational expenses, and other services not listed.

All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as entering the pyramids from inside, the mummies’ room in Museum, or entering the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.

Booking Confirmation Policy

  • The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking.
  • We are offering a low down payment of just 25% to secure your spaces on tour, including hotel rooms, cruise cabins, domestic flight tickets, and other travel-related services. The remaining balance can be paid up to two days before your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to your tour manager, making you’re booking a risk-free investment.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation after confirmation with payment before 30 days of the commencement of the tour: 10% of the value of the tour package.
  • Canceling the tour 30 to 20 days before commencement of the tour: 25% of the value of the package
  • Canceling 19-15 days before commencing the tour: 50% of the tour cost
  • Canceling 14-11 days before commencement of the tour: 75% of the tour cost
  • Canceling before 10 days or less before the tour date: No refund for the tour

Children Policy

  • Up to 2 years: FREE
  • Age from 2 and below 6 years: 25% of adult price
  • Age from 6 up to 11 years: 50% of adult price
  • Ages 12 and Up: adult price.

Notes:

  • Children policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents ( Maximum 1 Child sharing parent’s room )
  • If your tour includes airfare, additional charges for your children may apply.
