Discover all of ancient Egypt in one day. Enjoy the Giza pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx before visiting the Egyptian Museum, which houses the world’s most extensive collection of Egyptian antiquities. After that, you will visit Islamic Cairo and get to know Egypt differently.
You will be picked up from your accommodation in either Cairo or Giza by your Egyptologist Guide; you will start the day by visiting the Giza Plateau, which is only about 30 minutes from Cairo, where your Egyptologist Guide will provide a fascinating introduction to each of the three pyramids: Khufu, Khafre and Menakaure.
After visiting the pyramids, your Guide will offer you the opportunity for an unforgettable photo by continuing across the plateau to take in the view of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background.
A short distance to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, for thousands of years, the enigmatic symbol of Egypt!
You will next visit the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the world’s most significant and precious artifacts of Egyptian items and art. The Museum exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts that date as far back as 5000 years.
You will then visit Islamic Cairo, founded by the first Muslim leader Amr ibn al-Aas in 641 AD, and the fantastic and beautiful Saladin Citadel built during the 12th century (it consists of many essential monuments) alabaster.
The Muhammad Ali Mosque was built during the 18th century, the Suleyman Pasha Mosque, Joyce Walls, and the Muhammad Ali Pasha Palace.
After your tour, you will be returned to your accommodation.
